James Frank Doetsch, 77, of Lachine passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. James was born on June 11, 1944, in Paris, Texas to the late Frank and Pearl (Arnold) Doetsch. On Aug. 5, 1988, he married Shirley Holbrook. James enjoyed playing Euchre, fishing trips to Canada, puzzles, and spending time outdoors with his dogs. Surviving are his wife, Shirley, three children, William (Heather) Doetsch, Jamie (Tracy Alt) Doetsch, Julie (Patrick) Selby; two stepchildren, Will (Debbie) Dyer, Scott (Terrie) Dyer, 10 grandchildren, Andrew (Angela), Alex, Addy, Amanda, Kailee, Shane, Rebecca (Jack), Veronica, Brandi, and Krysta, six great-grandchildren, Angelo, Dominic, Jack, Nolan, Hunter, and Ryker. Memorial visitation will take place Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Arnie Kirschner officiating.
